⏰ Time & Attendance

What do I do if I'm having issues clocking in or out?

If you are unable to clock in using the app, take these steps:

  1. Text the Help Desk at 970-633-3607 with your name and "clocking in" or "clocking out." The timestamp of your text will serve as your clock-in or clock-out time, so send the message immediately.
  2. Sign the physical sign-in sheet at your worksite.
  3. Ask your lead to update your timesheet for the day.

⚠️ It is very important that you communicate all timesheet entries you aren't able to input yourself to your lead AND the Help Desk to prevent payroll errors and delays.

🏥 Sick Time

Sick time information for Vangst GIG workers

Sick time is paid by Vangst, not the client.

Important: Sick time does NOT count as PTO, does NOT count as an excused absence, and cannot push weekly hours into overtime (over 40 hours).

Sick time may only be used for: illness, medical appointments, health emergencies — and only while actively employed and for scheduled workdays.

Additional notes: Sick time is not paid out upon separation. Requests are typically submitted during or after the missed shift, and approved sick time will be added to the payroll cycle that includes the missed shift.

Note: Sick time laws vary by state and are regularly reviewed by the Vangst team.

How do I request sick time pay?

Submit your request through the Sick Time Request Form. All requests are reviewed and approved or denied by the Vangst HR team.

10+ hours Two 30-min breaks (before 5th and 10th hours) Second break only, if shift is 12 hrs or less and first break was taken
12+ hours Two 30-min breaks (before 5th and 10th hours) No — cannot be waived
15+ hours Three 30-min breaks (before 5th, 10th, and 15th hours) No — cannot be waived

📋 Employment & Vangst Info

If an agency needs employment verification, they should contact the Vangst Help Desk directly.

How do I file for unemployment after working for Vangst?
